I am a mixed media and textile artist living in Bude, North Cornwall.
I love experimenting, incorporating and combining different techniques to create art, using my sketchbook to work on ideas and taking photographs to record memories that might later inspire a design.
Passionate about colour, contrast, textures and pattern, using acrylics, inks, pencil, pen, charcoal and anything else that feels right.
Fabric and free machine embroidery feature largely in my work, using the needle as a pen and the thread as ink, sometimes bleaching, burning and melting, adding and stripping back.
Inspired by the rugged Cornish coast, the beautiful countryside around us, architecture and the structure of things like flowers or musical instruments.
